Harborside Farms Meat Shop

Do you remember your Grandparents and parents talking about how they used to go into the LOCAL butcher shop and buy their meat? Well Harborside Farms is bringing back the old days and offering you just that. Take a drive out the farm and see what it is like to buy your meat in a healthier, more sustainable way. Supporting local farmers and keeping the health of you, the animals and the environment defines our mission statement on Harborside Farms.

Harborside Farms is resurrecting the part of the very fragile farming industry that has been forgotten. The one where the animals on the farm grazed in lush green pastures and had plenty of room to stretch their legs. The one where the farmer used to take pride in the harvest and celebrate with a great feast. Sunshine and shelter were the animals choice and they made it based on what the need was at the time. The one where the farmer grew his own meat for the year and only fed his family the best.

NO HORMONES, NO ANTIBIOTICS.

Be it Organic, Natural or Grass finished, Harborside Farms meets and gets to know all its producers and then picks which animals would best suit you and your family.

Building relationships with local producers and paying them what their animals are really worth is something that Harborside Farms prides itself in.

Can you expect to have the same choices every time you come to the meat shop? No. Because we are raising and purchasing the animals in ways that are not conventional, we cannot supply a steady amount all the time.

Rest assured what we do have in the meat shop will be fresh and tasty and full of vitamins and nutrition that only healthy food can give you.

Harborside Farms is not about feeding people as quick as we can, it's about offering a change in the way you shop and feed your family. A change you can feel good about from inside to out. Take time to eat right and feel good about where your food comes from.

First, I have to tell you how pleasantly surprised we were by the quantity of meat.

We've already sampled the breakfast sausage and made a great spaghetti sauce
last night with the ground Italian, they were both fantastic.

Our 16 year old, Zack, is hugely passionate about cooking so tonight he has a lovely marinated roast
in the slow cooker and I am sure it will also be delicious.
