FULL TIME INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
April/May start to November 1.
Includes all the part time items listed below + more
PART TIME
1st April/May:
Goat Kidding, Garden Prep/planning, meat shop, setting the brooder, moving cattle to pasture, moving bees to summer yard + more
2nd June/July:
Chick brooding, goat milking, rotational grazing, pigs farrowing, calving, harvesting honey, meat shop + more
3rd August/ September:
Garden harvest/ preserving, goat milking, honey harvest, bee wintering/feeding, poultry slaughter, rotational grazing, meat shop + more
What is included? (besides amazing farming knowledge)
• Farm house
• Your own room
• shared kitchen
• shared living space
• This house has electricity but no running water
• Room and board
• food supplied while at the farm within reason (no Filet Mignon)
• a learning plan
• wireless internet available but there will be no access to the house computer
• Interns will be expected to work when we are working, sometimes that means 16 hours/day (but not every day)
• Every second weekend off
Part time internship stipend is $100/week to $200/week - depending on skill level
Full time internship stipend is $150/week to $300/week - depending on skill level
